JD.com Forms Strategic Alliance with Evri to Facilitate Growth of European Brands in China

Chinese E-commerce Giant Partners with Logistics Firm for Seamless Cross-Border Services

Chinese e-commerce powerhouse JD.com has entered into a strategic partnership with Evri, aiming to provide European brands with access to its extensive consumer base in China.

In a statement, JD.com revealed that integrating its advanced logistics and e-commerce capabilities in China with Evri’s delivery network will establish comprehensive two-way logistics services spanning China and Europe.

The services will encompass Evri’s local pick-up and warehousing in Europe, international transportation, access to Chinese bonded warehouses, customs clearance, and comprehensive delivery across China.

Additionally, JD Worldwide, JD.com’s cross-border e-commerce platform, will offer Evri’s retail partners insights into the Chinese market, including consumer behavior, marketing and pricing strategies, as well as product selection advice and online operational strategies. The partnership will initially prioritize the beauty and apparel sectors.

JD.com manages nearly 90 international warehouses in 15 countries and regions and plans to extend its global supply chain and logistics network over the next three years.

JD.com, also known as Jingdong, made its foray into e-commerce in 2004, becoming the first major Chinese e-commerce company listed on NASDAQ in May 2014. In June 2020, JD.com successfully completed a secondary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx).
