Patterson came to police attention on 22 August 2024 when a drugs detection dog gave a positive indication. Officers escorted him to a private area for a search, where they found two bags hidden inside his belongings.
Inside, officers uncovered:
- Around 100 snap bags containing ecstasy and ketamine
- Two nitrous oxide canisters
Despite being questioned, Patterson gave no comment to all police inquiries. He was later charged based on the evidence recovered at the scene.
