Clint Eastwood is set to direct his final film ‘Juror No. 2’

Despite being in his nineties, Clint Eastwood continues to be an active and prolific filmmaker, and he is now set to direct his final film, which will star a young Hollywood actor in the lead role. Eastwood has enjoyed an impressive career in Hollywood for over 70 years, first as an actor and then as a director. He is best known for his iconic roles in films such as The Man With No Name and Dirty Harry, but he has also garnered critical acclaim for his directorial work on films like Unforgiven and Gran Torino.

In 2019, Eastwood starred in and directed Cry Macho, which received mixed reviews and failed to impress at the box office. The film was produced by Warner Bros, a studio with which Eastwood has a long history. However, when David Zaslav took over as the new President and CEO of Warner Bros following its merger with Discovery, he questioned why the studio had green-lit the project. Despite the studio’s defense of their decision, Zaslav made it clear that they owed no one any favors.

Despite the underwhelming response to Cry Macho, it seems that Warner Bros is now moving ahead with what is being referred to as Eastwood’s “final film.” According to Discussing Film’s sources, the movie will be a thriller called Juror #2, which tells the story of a juror on a murder trial who comes to realize that he may have been responsible for the victim’s death. The lead character must decide whether to use his influence over the other jurors to save himself or to turn himself in.

While little is known about the plot of Juror #2 at this point, it is clear that Eastwood continues to push the boundaries of his creativity and is willing to take risks even at his advanced age. Additionally, by casting a young Hollywood star in the lead role, Eastwood is demonstrating his ability to recognize and nurture new talent, even as he approaches the end of his career.

Clint Eastwood is a legendary figure in Hollywood, and his final film promises to be another exciting addition to his storied career. With Juror #2, Eastwood is once again venturing into new territory and showing that even at the age of 93, he remains a vital force in the film industry. It will be exciting to see what Eastwood has in store for us with his latest project.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Nicholas Hoult will star as the juror opposite Tony Collette’s prosecutor. They will meet on a film set for the first time in 21 years (they played in ‘About A Boy’). Filming is set to begin in mid-June 23.
